this time around he's the one who initiate.

been there almost 6 years ago with my family.
time tu tak kawin lagi.
and baru je kenal dgn cik hubby.
this time around we're going with my in-laws and little Danish & Aaira.
hopefully it'll still be as good as I remember it.

my not-so-new obsession

tiba-tiba saya telah menjadi obsessed dgn cik novel okeh.
I'm not being the normal me anymore. 
seriously!

semenjak mengenali itu 50 shades trilogy.

that's the first book that I really read after almost 3 years.
gila lama tak baca buku okeh.
padahal dulu2 waktu single, sehari tak baca buku memang tak lengkap hidup ye.
good books are my daily supplements.

got married with this wonderful hubby, and with little Danish and Aaira tagging along, there were hardly time for me and anything else. let alone this old hobby.

out of sudden, we had to be in this long distance relationship...
I've got a part time maid who cleans up the house regularly.
Danish sleeping in his own bedroom.
and Aaira no longer the baby she was.

balik rumah, charge henpon, layan the kids, borak2, makan, temankan diorang tido, pukul 9.30 I finally got my me time - to read the damn novels of course!

During lunch hour I can't wait to finish my meal, baring2 sambil baca novel di surau. but weekends when hubby is around, of course la no-book-day for me kan.

It all started few months back.
I read this good review for the 50 shades trilogy by an old fren back in MMU time. ok, tiba2 teringat my English lecturer and my old nickname, Datin Zaharah as in Datin Zaharah Sulaiman. 
hahaha T_T

so when she offered me the e-book, of course I hepi menari-nari kan.
when u started the book, no way u'll ever stop.

itulah buku pertama yg buat aku berjaga sampai pukul 4.30 pg on weekdays beberapa hari berturut-turut okeh! walaupun cerita dia sebenarnya tak berapa nak best, it's the adrenalin that push me to keep going. to know what will happen to them makes the waiting unbearable. so, dahla mlm tido pukul 4.30, tghari time lunch hour kelam kabut sambung baca buku tu balik. then bila dah abis baca, I'm dreading to start it all over again. gila ah ding dong!

setelah menahan diri utk membaca buku itu for the 3rd round, I search ups and down for another good books. akhirnya berjaya donlod beberapa puluh novel bestseller ye.

I've just finished the Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire last night. 
love love love it!
and also a few novels by Colleen Hoover.
at first I thought she's just a plain novelist until u read till the end. then only u'll know why she is in the bestseller board!

and that started me to purchase books from Amazon and reading all the reviews in Goodreads.com.

I've stop all my tv activities and replying my friends' whatsapp only when I feel like it. 
gila ahhh!

but then, this is way better for me... for us. 
it stops me from doing things that I might regret later.
seperti yang pernah aku tuliskan sebelum ini.

 'kan sangat banyak dugaan when hubby is not around?

and this is the worst ending ever! 
it's like, what???
ok, I just can't wait for her 4th book walopun novel dia sebenarnya tak berapa nak best pun tapi aku suka jalan cerita dia.

tiba-tiba dah raya

So, dah hari raya pun kan tapi apa2 cerita raya pun takde.
By the way, I took 5.5 days of annual leave for last raya.
total of 12 days berjalan2 tak balik rumah.
hari ke 12 baru jejak kaki kat rumah sendiri okeh.

The day before raya dah dikira PH, so the day before that I took half day leave to fetched my new car dkt centre. then fetched the kids and drove all the way to Ptn dgn kete baru gitu. tak ditinted lagi so agak hazab drive tgh2 hari buta ye.

next morning hubby arrived from Tganu and dia terus balik to our house, amik kete and balik Ptn.
my mum dah siap masak semua so kami bersukaria sahajalah kat rumah kan. main mercun, bunga api semua sambil tgk tv.

mlm tu tgh main mercun, bole plak kan mercun roket yg hubby bakar gi direct kat rumah selang sebelah. tiba2 nampak api menyala kat beranda dia. rumah chinese. and there's nobody home. so hubby gi panjat pagar and use the water hose to stop the fire. my brother, Boy, dah gi balik rumah amik tangga nak panjat sana. nasib baik api tu terpadam jugak. gila saspen okeh. tiba2 terus stop main mercun kan.

and tiba2 dah hari raya.
this year, only 3 of us were here. both of my brothers, and us.
3 budak kecik.
Aaira, Danish & Aryssa (Boy's daughter).
angah balik kg mertuanya di Rembau.

this is the closest that we had for a family hari raya photo. tak pegi studio pun sbb sgt bizi. maklumla kg dekat2 so sebelum raya & pagi raya di kg daku, pukul 1 lebih balik kg hubby, as usual, every year. this has never been an issue for us. fair and square. hehe.

and tiba2 tema raya kami taun ni adalah hijau.
sebab time pegi carik baju raya hubby & Danish kat Danga City Mall, warna tu nampak mcm cantek pulak kan. so ok, tema = hijau.

we always go there for for baju melayu.
sebab kain & jahitan dia serasi dgn hubby.
he's a bit fussy about this kinda things. sebenarnya lebih suka tempah je tapi sebab dah jumpa kedai yg menepati citarasa and harga pun not bad, so takyah tempah dah. beli siap lagi senang. tak payah risau baju tak siap ke hapa. dah la beliau nun jauh di sana kan.

my clothes pulak mmg biasanya beli last minute.
I always love shopping at expo Parit Sulong, B. Pahat.
walaupun panas tapi baju kat situ byk yg best okeh.
wayyy cheaper and better than JB.
I spent almost 3 hours there.
mula2 malas nak ikut hubby sbb balik kerja tu terus balik BP, pastu dia ajak pegi carik durian.
tiba2 dia offer, nak pegi Parit Sulong tak?
I of cos nak ikut la kan.
Ingatkan nak tgk2 dalam sejam je. hubby cakap, diorg tunggu kat kedai mamak sana. pastu dah sejam, aku tak setel2, hubby bwk diorg pegi rumah my sis-in-law dekat2 situ.

so bila dah sendirian berhad lagi hepi la daku berjalan2 kan.
tup2 tengok dekat 3 jam rupanya bergolek guling di sana hokey!
gila penat.
tengah malam baru balik rumah my in-laws.

JB ada la jugak tempat best mcm kat Angsana & Pandan tapi mahal la kan.
Jangan harap aku nak perabihkan 3, 4 ratus utk sepasang baju kurung okeh. tak pernah berminat pun dgn baju kurung designer. baik la aku beli henbeg mahal2 drp baju yg mahal ha.

but for tudung, I always opt for Bokitta, Fareeda & Ariani. mestila beli time sale kan. I won't spend money on expensive things which are not on sale. hehe.

kehendak orang kan lain2 so tepuk dada tanya selera, ikut apa yg ada dalam poket ko ye.

okeh, sambung cerita lain kali.

a gift.

and so, I got this gift from dearest hubby.
a car.
a small car.
an Axia.
hadiah sempena kena tinggal kat sini, nguruskan semuanya sendiri.

pertama kali okeh he really bought me a gift.
selalunya adalah, hubby, cyg takde jam.
*padahalnya ada je jam lama2 kat laci tu*

aa cyg nak hadiah jam ke besday?

bole jugak.

ok, nanti kita beli.

he never really bought me a gift as in something that he bought bukan sbb aku yg transfer duit dia dlm akaun aku.

until last few weeks, after my numerous complaints about how I wish I had a small car like Kancil.
bukan la aku mintak kereta baru pun.
tapi kan setiap kali pergi kerja, gila susah nak park kete besar cam our Ford ni kan.
so terpaksa park kat belakang2.
and everytime balik keje, melilau la carik kete tak jumpa antara yg beribu itu.
so automatik dalam kepala asyik nak komplen, besnya kalau kete aku kecik, boleh selit kat mana2.

and no, bukan kehendak pun.
dan tak rasa ia satu keperluan since hubby is not around, so nak buat apa ada kereta lain. mcm menyemak je kat garaj. macam motor hubby tu. yg akhirnya tersadai kat rumah tak digunakan. sebab tuannya takde kat sini kan. and aku jangan harap la nak bawak. start enjin motor pun tatau okeh.

and suddenly, last few weeks he said he wants to buy me an Almera.
I was like, nak buat apaaa?? mana nak letak??? kan sama je dgn kete Ford nih.
takmo okeh takmo.

and he said, abistu cyg nak Axia ke?

aa nak buat apa beli kete baru, kete yg skrg kan bes.

so he said, hadiah kat cyg sbb kena tinggal kat sini, bg hubby keje jauh2.

okkk.

but I'm not that excited sbb it's not really my kehendak.
to me, a car is just a car.
my kehendak is like henbeg baru ke, Pandora baru ke, or trips to anywhere ke kan.

but then, dah dia nak bagi, terima je la.
and, it's not like I don't appreciate it.
I do.

Travelogue : Batam (Part 2)

Sambungan cerita Batam ye.

So, sampai kat Batam dalam pukul 12 lebih waktu Indonesia.
We took 2 taxis from the terminal which cost 80,000rp each. Actually bole mintak kurang lagi. My taxi charge 75,000rp tapi sbb dia takde duit kecik so kami bg je la 80,000rp. if amik teksi dari mall sebelah tu mmg lagi murah tapi jangan harap nak jalan jauh2 rentas jejantas angkut luggage byk2 dgn bdk kecit 4 org ni kan. And this is kind of leisure holiday so we don't mind to spend more on things.

Hotel ni agak jauh dr terminal feri and jalan mmg jem. So sampai kat hotel dlm 12.30 tghari. Boleh check in tapi kunci belum dapat sbb bilik tak ready lagi. So tinggal luggage kat hotel and kami jalan kaki pegi BSC mall utk lunch. Malas nak carik tempat lain sbb leceh kena naik teksi. And belum tentu makanan yg kat tempat lain tu sedap, kan.

Setelah berpusing2 and carik tempat yg ramai org makan, kami pun singgah kat Kangen Cafe at 3rd floor. Avocado sedap, Asam Boi sedap, Sotong Goreng Tepung sedap, Pisang Cheese sedap, Udang Thai ke apa ntah nama dia sedap gak mcm mkn kat Siam House (aahhh nyam2...), Ayam Goreng Serai dgn Ayam Goreng Bawang biasa2 je. Tomyam dia tak sedap lansung okeh! sila jgn order. Soft Crab dia agak masin, aku tak berapa suka. Tapi overall makan kat situ mmg sedap and murah. Harga setiap makanan ada dalam menu.

Lepas makan kami jalan2 kejap di mall, beli swimming suit Aaira & Danish sbb emak yg kelam kabut lupa nak bawak. then balik ke hotel. rest kejap, then hubby and my Abah bawak budak2 mandi kat pool.

ada tragedi telah berlaku.
ni diorg yg cerita la sbb aku tak turun bawah lagi time tu.
waktu hubby sibuk2 nak amik towel, dia ingatkan Danish dgn abah. abah pulak tgh sibukkan si Aaira, tak perasan Danish. lepastu dia nampak ada budak tgh berenang kat kolam dewasa. mcm tenggelam timbul. dlm hati dia dok terpikir, terer betul budak ni berenang kat kolam org dewasa. pastu dia carik2 Danish dgn Syaura. tup tup tgk rupanya Danish yg dalam kolam tu. tergamam terus dia tarik Danish naik. fuhhh dia ckp hilang semangat kejap. biasanya si Danish ni takkan masuk kolam dulu. tatau kenapa ni dia lari2 terus masuk kolam. haih.

then diorg pun sambung mandi kat kolam budak2.
air dia sejuk gila okeh!
tak tahan aku.
so berendam kejap je and terus masuk sauna.
budak2 ni tahan pulak berendam lama2.

malam tu kami makan di Kangen Cafe lagi.
sebab siang tadi makanan dia sedap so malas nak carik tmpt lain yg belum tentu sedap.
malam kami try menu lain. ada yg sedap, ada yg tak.
kami tak order ikan sbb mostly ikan air tawar and my family ramai tak mkn ikan air tawar.
lepas makan, jalan2 dalam BCS mall je. then hubby pegi urut bdn dkt massage centre dkt2 situ.
my mom and my sis buat appointment dgn spa di hotel kami.
not bad la.
aku tak pegi sbb jaga budak2.
kesian kan.
hehe.
but I don't mind sbb aku dah biasa pegi Mai Beaute kat Angsana nuu. my feveret monthly gateway. so tak ralat pun kalo tak pegi spa kat Batam ni.

The next day breakfast dkt hotel, menu dia lebih kurang sama je dgn kat M'sia. nasi goreng, mi goreng, etc2.
After than around pukul 11 tunggu our rented van to arrive.
tiba2 the driver call, bgtau aircond van rosak so nanti dia ganti dgn bas which cost higher la kan tapi since the fault came from them, dia bg harga sama je dgn van.
kitorang mcm, okkk... naik bas?
tup tup bila bas sampai and semua naik, eh bestnya. bas dia tak mcm bas kat M'sia.
sbb private transport kan.
tinted hitam, very clean and very comfortable.
the driver pun very good.
berbaloi la.

We went direct to Jambatan Balerang sbb tu yg paling femes kan.

Sampai je kat sana tiba2 hujan okeh.

So the driver bawak la kami pusing-pusing sampai ke pulau sebelah.

Bila patah balik, hujan pun berenti, and kitorang turun kejap amik gambar.

the view is soooo cantek ok.

and there're many photographers yg amik upah utk amik gambar di situ.

each picture cost around 25,000rp kot. tak ingat tapi murahan la.

nak harap kita amik gambar pastu cuci sendiri mmg takde la. so setelah diorg memujuk akhirnya amik la gambo photographer tu.

ingatkan mula2 nak amik sekeping je, tiba2 mcm semuanya cantek so telah jadi 8 keping ye.

Tak singgah tepi pantai pun walaupun laut dia memang cantik gila. Pantai Nongsa antara yg paling femes kst sini tapi agak jauh la kalau nak pergi sana. And hari mcm mendung so kalau hujan, mcm tak berbaloi nak pergi sana kot.

Next, we went to Polo Ralph Lauren Factory Outlet.

at first we thought it was like JPO.

rupa-rupanya ia adalah sebijik kedai je okeh.

tapi shopping jugak la beberapa helai kat situ.

Then we went to Batam Layer Cakes Factory di Bingkong Laut.

Tempatnya agak tersorok.
Tapi memang sedap okeh! My feveret is Mocha Layer Cakes & Prune Layer Cakes. nyum nyum. nyesal tak beli byk2 buat stok raya. Batam Layer Cakes ni tak dijual kat tempat lain. Cuma kat kilang dia yg ni je. Kalau yg jenis lain banyak jual kat town. Tapi tak sesedap yg ni la.

Diorang cakap yg femes dkt sini, kuih bingkang & kek pisang.

Tapi aku tak suka kuih tu so malas nak carik.

Tak sempat pun.

Then kami lunch di Bundu Kanduang depan Novotel Hotel.

Kami bgtau kat driver tu nak mkn nasi padang yg paling sedap, so dia pun bwk la ke sini.

Memang sedap okeh!

Jus avocado, mangga, durian belanda, buah naga, semuaaa sedap.

Ayam goreng, pecel, daging salai, semua aku suka.

And murah gak kot. Untuk 6 dewasa dan 5 kanak-kanak, dlm 580,000rp shj.

Kedai dia 2 tingkat, dlm tu ada surau so kami siap2 solat semua di situ.

Travelogue : Batam (Part 1)

Lots of thing has been happening lately.
Loads and loads and loads of that.
Yang sedih pilu, gembira, yang itu ini, semuanya.

Not gonna write it all here though.
Hari ini cuma mau cerita tentang Batam, my first oversea's trip okeh.

kesian kan.
orang lain dah jauh-jauh berjalan, aku baru jejakkan kaki ke Batam.
hehe

Actually it was never in our plan.
Tak pernah teringin pun nak ke sana.
Kan plannya mau ke Krabi & Phuket with encik Hubby.
Tapi sebab his offhore work tatau abis bila, so kalau tiba2 kena extend his stay there, kan ke kena reschedule flight sume kan.
leceh okeh.
that's why we always opt for last minute trip.
and suddenly, last Saturday he came back, without informing us first, mcm aritu. tatau2 dah sampai Tesco kan.

time tu kami anak-beranak dah balik kg pun. so Saturday evening I went back to JB to fetch him. around 4 pm, I went to the Big Bad Wolf dulu. itu adalah event wajib pegi. tinggal budak2 kat kg kejap. around 8 pm, dia sampai ke Danga City Mall. then we go straight to our fav Nasi Goreng Seafood at Stulang Laut.

pastu sebab dah malam sangat, we went back to fetch the kids the next day. Sunday noon balik kg, plan with my family and all nak pegi mana this long weekend. My sister's family is coming down from Miri and nak join sekali.

Mula-mula nak pegi Punggai, takde hotel yg best. then Mlk, P. Sibu, etc2. tiba2 my dad baca tentang Batam di paper BH. so setel, amik keputusan ke sana shj.

carik2 pakej semuanya dah full sebab last minute kan. khamis nak pegi, Ahad baru sibuk mencari, memang susah la nak jumpa yg best.
lagipun time cuti sekolah M'sia Singapore plus public holiday lagi kan. so we gamble to arrange everything ourselves.

book hotel di Booking.com.
BCC Hotel & Apartment, a 4 star hotel at a bargainable price. around RM870 for a 3-rooms apartment ye for a 3 dys & 2 nights stay.

Yang paling best, ia betul2 sebelah BCS Mall and banyak tempat makan kat situ okeh. tak payah nak amik teksi bagai. kot terasa nak beli pisang goreng cheese ke, turun bwh kejap beli.

so on Thursday morning, aku sibuk la pegi pos brg kejap. sbb nak cuti lama, kan. tup2 dah pkul 10, balik rumah, hubby siap2, rushing gila pegi The Zone. sbb feri pukul 11, patutnya pkul 10.30 dah kena masuk dalam tapi pukul 10.40 kami atas jln lagi ha. abah aku dah bising la kat sana kan. tepon dok berdering je ha sepanjang jalan.

sampai terminal pukul 10.45, tengok semua org dah masuk dalam kecuali my mum sbb kena jaga budak kecit 2 org yg takde passport ngan tiket tu sbb mak dia baru sampai ni kan. kalo lambat lagi sikit mmg kena penalti la.

aku bajet mmg tak sempat la nak naik pukul 11 tu sbb dah 10.55 tgh queue nak beli tiket lagi. pastu merayu la kat akak kaunter tu, mak saya, anak saya semua dah masuk dalam, kami tertinggal ni. so dia pun bg lepas.

we're the last to enter.
kat imigresen tu sempat borak lagi dgn abg kastam. sbb dia tgk my passport sgt putih bersih, nampak no first time gi obersea kan. dia ckp, rushing2 ni awk cek betul tak tiket pegi Batam nih.

aaa aku tak cek pun okkk.
muhmuhmuh.
tak ckp pun kat ticket counter tu aku nak pegi Batam.
cuma ckp kat dia nak tiket pukul 11 je.
hahaha T_T

dibuatnya tu tiket pegi Tg Balai ke Tg Pinang ke tak ke haru. diorg gelakkan je kitorg ha.

kul 11, masuk feri, sangat menat.
nasib baik ekon and seat yg agak selesa.
tak berapa ramai pun org, maybe sbb bukan weekend. so kami anak beranak, the kids and all berjumlah 10 org buat la feri tu mcm rumah sendiri. hubby duduk kat tingkat atas dengan cik Aaira.

kat dlm feri baru la my sis remind utk activate credit card, ATM card, roaming and all. nampak sangat last minute trip kan. 

actually di Batam ada banyak jeti. tapi pelancong dari M'sia biasanya turun di Batam Centre & Harbour Bay. harga tiket ke Batam Centre RM84 shj (one way) tapi rasanya ada tax yg kita kena bayar tapi aku tak ingat berapa. boleh book direct di http://www.berjayawaterfront.com.my/

kalau nak book, kena 2 hari awal ye. kalau tak, anda tak dilayan. in my case, aku lupa yg kena book awal. besoknya nak pegi, arini baru sibuk2 nak book. so sila la beratur kat kaunter sambil berharap ada tiket lagi.

actually motif book awal sbb takut feri penuh je. waktu nak pegi tu still kena beratur kat kaunter and tukar dgn tiket ye.

around pukul 1 tghari sampai sana. perbezaan waktu adalah sejam. so lebih kurang pukul 12 sampai kat jeti. and jeti tu bersambung dgn mall so kalau nak shopping terus pun boleh tapi takde tempat nak letak luggage. so kami terus naik teksi ke hotel.

aku baca banyak blog yg suggest tukar duit di Batam so aku tak tukar byk sgt kat M'sia. tapi sebenarnya tukar duit kat M'sia lagi murah okeh! menyesal pulak tak tukar banyak.

hubby went to money changer kat belakang bus stand Masai, dekat2 pasaraya Indah, rate dia 3,500 je. my abah tukar kat Pontian pun sama 3,500. bila dkt Batam, rate dia paling rendah 3,450 okeh. tapi kebanyakkan tempat 3,400. rugi2.

far happier than with his last job here in PG.

it's never been easy with this long distance relationship; with me being the only one handling the kids alone.

I read approx a book a day and once I read them I archive and never look back. When I completed the last book in this trilogy, I was not ready to let go of the characters. I immediately re-read 1 and now will be starting 2 again! The romance is the main character and I for one would love to see this series continued!

ye, terjebak dengan Ariani pulak dahhh T_T

sebenarnya kelmarin bwk my mum ke Jakel JB utk cari kain pasang.
tiba2 tersinggah ke Ariani sebab dah alang2 kat sebelah tu kan.

in the middle of the night.

nothing.

lots of thing going through my mind lately. yg itu ini, di office, rumah, dan semuanya.

kan aktiviti shopping aku mcm ni.
time musim shopping baju anak, semua website pun aku dok carik baju budak je. nasib baik musim beli mainan budak2 dah berlalu bln 12 aritu.

tapi la ni bila ntah nak berlalu musim beli tudung. dlm masa seminggu aku dah beli 8 tdg bokitta. bila ada parcel dtg je budak interns aku cakap, tu mesti ada tdg kak fasha lagi tu T_T

tapi sgt sayang la nak letgo tdg Fareeda ngan Naelofar yg berlambak2 kat umah tu. sebabnya dua2 ni tetap my feveret jugak sampai bila2. Fareeda sesuai pakai dgn baku kurung. Naelofar and Bokitta dgn pants. Naelofar ni takde volume, melepek je dkt kepala. so kena pakai inner sanggul baru cantek.

tadi dok scroll2 fb, nampak tdg Aidijuma pulak. tak berapa nak suka tdg bawal tapi ramai betul yg obsess dgn tdg AJ ni ye. adekah ai perlu try? haha
